The British Society for Gene and Cell Therapy (BSGCT) Annual Conference continues to be a highlight in the gene and cell therapy calendar, bringing together researchers, clinicians, and industry experts committed to driving progress in the field. iPSZürich 2026 Symposium

In 2019, the iPSZürich network was launched by three enthusiastic young scientists with the goal of fostering connections and collaborations in the field of induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-based research across various disciplines and institutes at the University of Zurich (UZH) and ETH Zürich. Today, our team comprises five early-stage researcher and one experienced senior researcher who are dedicated to cultivating cross-institutional collaborations and enhancing the network among junior scientists engaged in iPSC research in Zurich.

2nd Bonn Organoid Symposium

With six invited speakers, short talks and a poster session, we expect a full day of presentations, discussions and networking opportunities around organoids and other 3D culturing systems in multiple application cases. This is our second symposium after the successful first event in 2024 with 150 participants.

Implementing more complex model systems is crucial to understand biological phenomena, function and diseases. Organoids and other 3D culturing systems increase physiological relevance in basic research by providing more relevant context and more complex and tissue-like cellular composition and might potentially bridge the gap between animal models and cell culture in order to Reduce, Refine and Replace animal experiments. Additionally, the complex 3D cell models offer new avenues for disease modeling and personalized treatment approaches. With this symposium, we aim to lay once more the foundation for a fruitful exchange and onset of new collaborations.

Microphysiological Systems (MPS) World Summit

Microphysiological systems (MPS) comprise a number of bioengineering breakthroughs that reproduce organ architecture and function in vitro. Fueled by stem-cell technologies, a broad variety of especially human models and test systems have emerged, which make relevant experimental tools broadly available through international and multidisciplinary collaborations.

Conference series are a key tool to form a community and accelerate scientific developments, their implementation and global harmonization. They provide an overview on the state-of-the-art in such dynamic and diverse fields, enabling transfer learning. BSI Yorkshire Immunology Group Meeting

The BSI Yorkshire Immunology Group will be hosting a half-day meeting in York to showcase immunology research in Yorkshire on Tuesday 13 May 2025. The meeting will be held in the Department of Biology, University of York, Dianna Bowles Lecture Theatre (B/K/018).

The meeting focuses on early career researchers and will feature a range of topics on host-pathogen interactions, immune regulation in haematology, and skin immunology.
